Casper is our second Standard Poodle

Casper is registered with the AKC as a cream Standard Poodles. He is very mellow. You have to make it fun to get him excited about pretty much anything. In the morning when I get up Casper lays in his bed until I am ready to walk out of my room. When we go out running Casper is the first on of my poodles that is ready to get in the car. It is weird that he is the leader of the two. He has backed Oz down for the last 6 years. Casper is the smaller one of the two he weights 55 pounds and Oz is 65. When you play with Casper he cries very easy, if you pinch or pull his fur to hard. Oz is totally different, the ruffer you play with him the meaner he is. So I really don't understand how Casper is the leader. As they get older Oz fights back and gets the best of Casper but I will not let them fight. When they fight I make them sit in front of me and let them know with a few key words and tone of my voice that I'm not going to let them fight. They know it is not tolerated in our house and it is bad to fight, so it does not happen to much. More growling than any thing. Casper is also the mother hen. Oz gets tired of Casper some times because Casper will not quit cleaning Oz's face sometimes. It is really funny, Oz keeps getting up and moving and Casper lays there for a few minutes then go and lays by Oz and starts licking him again. Casper is the better of the two with our grand kids, he is really mellow with them. Casper just turned 7 Feb. 3. 2010.
